Foundation of the company by Friedrich Uhde. Fabrication of high-pressure valves for ammonia synthesis in the workshop of a mine near Dortmund

1933

Foundation of Hagen factory. Patenting of the Uhde-Bredtschneider vessel closure

1950

Development of glandless stirrer drives

1955

Construction of the first tubular reactors for the fabrication of polyethylene at 1600 bar first and at 3200 bar later on

1956

Fabrication of valves for the urea process

1960

Introduction of autofrettage at pressures up to 16 000 bar in order to extend the service life of high-pressure components

1978

Development of jet-cutting systems for cutting at 3500 bar first

1980

Construction of turnkey plants for the extraction of substances from natural feedstock by means of supercritical gases at pressures up to 1000 bar

1986

Participation in the Ariane space programme by means of cryogenic high-pressure valves for hydrogen and oxygen

1991

Development of the clamp closure for quick opening of high-pressure vessels

1994

Construction of the first unit for the pasteurisation of foodstuffs at pressures up to 10 000 bar

1995

Development of a non-polluting high-pressure plant for effluent-free dyeing of textiles

2001

First applications of high-pressure technology in the 300 mm wafer technology under cleanroom conditions

2002

Construction and commissioning of a cGMP pharmaceutical plant under high-pressure conditions

2003

First industrial-scale jet-cutting unit in the world at 6000 bar operating pressure

2005

Construction of the biggest LDPE unit in the world: 400 000 tons/year at 3500 bar

2008

Commissioning of first industrial SFE plant for de-oiling of raw lecithin

2009

Market launch of the newest pump series HPS / HPD for waterjet cutting
